Ghost to a different hardware?

Hi,

We have an old computer which is about to crash soon. I used Ghost to image
the hard drive and put the new hard drive on a different computer hardware.
It can not boot. I know VMware can go into a VM's registry and modify
registry, replace video and NIC driver, etc.

Are there any MS or 3rd party tools to do this on a physical hard drive?

Thx,
