Ghost and OEM XP Licenses

Our company has standardized on Dell desktops and laptops. When we get
a new model in, the first thing we do is load up all of our programs
and customizations and create a ghost image. All of these machines
come preloaded with XP Pro.

My question is this, when we deploy this image it overwrites the
Product Key and uses the one of the machine that was used to create the
image. Will this eventually cause a problem with licensing? Is there
a way to put the the PK from the OEM sticker onto each individual
machine? Should we purchase a Volume License?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

As long as all of your OEM workstations came with their own XP COA's I think
you should be fine.

You should really sysprep your ghost image though. With sysprep, you won't
need to continue creating new ghost images each time a new model is purchased.
