GHOST 8.0!

I currently have no problems ghosting other systems on our network
always via a network boot, through a boot disk and it casts just fine.
However, I have 2 IBM desktops both wiped, and giving me an "No
operating system error" so I press F1, pop in the boot disk (PC-DOS)
and it boots fine, loads NIC, mouse, etc. Then it comes to ghost.exe,
and I will go through the normal steps of selecting the session name on
the server, and when I hit ok, it says that there is no local disk
found, I think error 550 or 525? It shows CD-ROM, Floppy however under
drive list, and both systems do the same thing. Even when loading
MS-DOS on the boot disks or a Win98 boot disk. I just dont understand.
I physically saw the HDD's in both systems, and this has worked with
all other different manufacturers.

Could it be a BIOS issue, HDD issue (format?), it seems to boot fine,
but just does not recognize the HDD's to place the image on.

HELP!

This may sound silly, but are you sure that the drives are connected to the
motherboard?
What model are the IBM machines? Check out the IBM support site at
http://www.ibm.com/support/us/ and enter your error 550 in the Search box.

"No operating system found" means the system does not "see" the HD. If you
boot with a startup disk it boots to the "A" prompt. You can verify that
the HD is not recognized by , at the "A" prompt, changing to "C" - message
will appear stating some reason why the HD is not "visible".

Is there an XP OS question here? You might want to contact Symantec tech
support and/or post to a hardware newsgroup.
