Getting the Valueof a Checkbox Form Field

G

Guest

I am using Word XP. I have created a form with a checkbox form field called
"ChkPets." I have a another formula field in the document. The equation in
the formula field is "=ChkPets * 250." For some reason, the value of ChkPets
is ALWAYS 0. I would think the value of the checkbox would be 0 if it is
unchecked and 1 if it is checked.

I wrote a macro to get the value of this checkbox and through the macro, it
works as expected (0 if unchecked and 1 if checked). However, I do not want
any macros in this document.

For some reason, when using a formula field, I cannot get the value of the
checkbox.

Is there any way to get this?

No, not without using a macro. A checkbox's value isn't "visible" to other
fields - unfortunately.
