Getting started.

I have started the process of trying to set up vista mail. ive never used
outlook express on my computers in the past as i have always managed to
struggle too much to set it up.

what i wanted to do is simply get windows mail working on my new laptop.

Can anyone tell me how to do this. when i tried earlier to send an email it
sent me through a wizard where it told me to give a username, which i did,
and then an email address, so i added my googlemail one. then it told me to
add the server and whether i wanted pop3 or imap ... i dont know the
difference or which would be best to use and i dont know what the server is
either. is there anyone that can help me set this up so that i can use this
rather than the email addresses that i currently have.

Hi there, go to the following page and first follow the link to enabling POP
in gmail.
Then to the set up instructions for WM, remember to change the port numbers,
it is explained on the page.
