What do I do to set my parental controll differently. I
have no children but when I want to go to some sites it
will not let me go there due my parental controll. Also I
cannot download msn instant messenger due to firewalls.
What do I do to fix the problem? Thanks

"Parental control" is not a term that XP or Internet Explorer uses. The
closest that IE comes to that is "Content Advisor." You need to figure out
what, on your system, is exerting the parental control before you can
change it. (We have no way of knowing what "it" is since this is an added
component and not a part of Windows.)

You mention firewall in your subject. Does you have a program installed
that includes firewall and parental controls? I think Norton Internet
Security has this. Other security suites may have it too. The Help file for
the program should guide you in making the necessary changes.

Also, some routers and modem/router combo devices have parental controls in
their configuration screens. Check the manual for this device to find out
how to use this part of its setup.

Finally, some ISPs offer parental controls as well. These usually get
configured online or in the ISPs software settings.
