Getting rid of "File Download - Security Warning"

S

Steve

Hi,

Using XP Pro w/ SP2 gives me this security warning when visiting certain
sites, for example the New York Times:

File Download - Security Warning
Do you want to open or save this file?

The files in question are JScripts with .js endings. Is there a way to
suppress these warnings through settings in IE 6.02?

Thanks, Steve

Best is to add those sites to the Trusted zone (provided you do trust
them - NY Times should be OK). In Internet options - security page,
highlight trusted sites, click Sites. Enter the URL of the site, and
click Add. You will probably need the check box at the bottom unchecked
