Getting message that Outlook blocked access to an unsafe attachmen

Hello,
I am curently getting a message from Outlook:
Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments:
vpnclient-win-3_1_1_Rel-k9.exe

I am running Outlook 2002 and Windows XP Professiional Edition. I also have
Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition running. Is there anyway to stop this
from happening? As I need this file in order to work from home. any help
would be appreciated.....

Thanks,

A registry entry lets you customize the list of blocked files in Outlook 2002. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm#ol2002 for links to info and tools. That page also lists the options available for earlier versions.

If you're the administrator in an Exchange Server environment, you can change the file blocking with administrative tools. See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/admin.htm

Better is to have this resend to you in a zip-format. Unblocking files that
could potentially hold malicious code is not a secure thing to do. If there
is no other way see;
