getting macros are disabled error mssage

how do i delete macros in excel. i am getting a "macros are disabled because
securiy is set to high...", except the workbook hs no macros in it (or none
that i no of or can find). the MS Excel help on this is useless.

Go to Tools and then Macros.
Change the Setting to Meduim or Low.
For me the error messages goes away.
