Getting error message when installing msn 6.2

Iam able to use windows messigner fine but when i
installed msn 6.2 it installes ok but then when i try
running it i get this error "this application failed to
start because the application configuration is incorrect,
reinstalling the application may fix this problem" but
reinstalling it doesnt work. does any one know how to fix
this?

Greetings Richard,

Instead of "reinstalling", run the setup program again (from
http://messenger.msn.com/Download), and
when prompted, choose the 'Repair' option -- then after this, try running Messenger again.

Note: Messenger must be installed for this to work, simply uninstalling/reinstalling won't
fix this.

I installed MSN messenger 6.2 on my PC but when the program runs, a
error message shows up saying "This application has failed to star
because VP.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fi
this problem"
I tried Re-installing it and I did the method you described to Richar
but it still shows up when I try to run it!!!
How do I fix this???
