My brother's PC blew up last night, nothing hardware related, but
XP Home got hosed by something. Here's the deal, he has two
partitions. The C: partition was the one that was being used
until it crapped out unexpectedly. The D: partition is what is
being used right now. So far the hardware seems alright and
I have the D: partition installation up to date. Now the
question...

My brother has a lot of stuff stored in the \My Documents in his
main profile on the C: partition XP Home. He had the make the
profile data private enabled in the User setup, the contents are
not accessible from D: partition XP. What we need is a way to
get at that profile to copy over files, browser settings, and
the contents of his e-mail accounts (He also has Outlook 2000).

So getting the software programs is not the issue, it's all the
savegame files, data files, favourites, and e-mail is what is
desired. Any ideas?

Take ownership of the needed files and folders to regain access to them.
