Getting an LCD that takes advantage of my ATI card?

Hello,

I currently have a 21" CRT - I've had it quite a while since the colors are
rich, the screen is bright and it has great resolution. The issue is that I
want an even BIGGER display. I've started reading up on LCDs. I've been
reading many threads about "ghosting" due to slow response times, low
resolutions, colors not being vibrant or accurate, contrast ratio not being
good enough and viewing angle. I tried the 24" dell and it wasn't bad but
not quite good enough for me. Does anyone know of anything coming out
shortly that meets these many concerns or is the technology still a ways
off?

Thanks for your help - I have some catching up to do on this subject.

Sorry, but the 24" Dell is a great LCD monitor and won't break the bank. How
is this "not good enough for you"? It has a 16ms response, same as the
2001FP which I have been using for over a year now for lots of gaming with
no ghosting, excellent contrast, very vibrant colors. I'm not a Dell fanboi
by any means, but any high-end Dell LCD that I've dealt with has been
superb.

I say the technology is there, and has been for well over a year now. I
came from a 21" Trinitron CRT myself and have nothing but great things to
say about my Dell 2001FP. Even your best 24" LCD's have a 16ms response
time. But the Samsung and Dell LCD's I've witnessed are fine for gaming.

As I set the Dell is good but the colors are a little dull - not good for
graphics work. If you look there is some slight ghosting in high speed
scenes if you are playing back a movie. It is a lot of bang for the buck
but I'd pay a little more (of course I don't WANT to pay more) if I could
get everything to a satisfactory level.
