Getiums could not locate MSdart.dll

I am trying to repair my Windows XP Home installation and
get this message after entering the product ID and
installing menu items:

Getiums could not be located in the dynamic llink library
msdart.dll

When I click the OK button in the dialog box nothing
happens and I have to reboot.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how to get round
this problem.
 
This usually happens around the 13-14 minute mark. Here is the workaround
Hit Shift and F10 at the same time
This will produce a command prompt
In the command prompt type in taskmgr.exe and hit ok
Go to the process tab
Find unregmp2.exe in the list and highlight it
Then click on the End Process button
Say yes to confirm
Close taskmanager
Close the command prompt

Now see if it will continue
