Get rid of IE an outlook shortcuts

How do i get rid of the outlook shortcut, the IE shortcut,
the address book shortcut, the messenger shortcut, the
media player shortcut and every other default shortcut that
leads to dangerous programs? I want this for every user
that logs in on the computer or creates new accounts on
this computer. I also want to get rid of the quick-link
menu. The best thing would be if IE, outlook, messenger,
addressbook and media player could be permanently removed
to avoid getting hacked and infected every 15 minute. How
do i remove all such shortcuts? and how do i get rid of as
many of these programs as possible?

Right-click and delete?

If you are getting hacked and infected every 15 minutes then I suggest your
computer security is ABSOLUTE ZERO. At least turn on the XP firewall, and
for God's sake GET A DECENT ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM.
It's ignorant people like you who cause the spread of viruses.

Only works for the current profile. Not useful.

This is 40 school computers. Firewall doesn't help against
inside attacks. Students bring own apps on CD and no AV
can quarantine such files. If i limit use of the computers
more than already done, students can't use the computers. I
=must= remove all dangerous apps to at least have a chance
to keep these computers in good condition for more than one
day. It's only ignorant people like me that can work in
such an environment without going completely mad.

Does anyone have any better ideas on how to unistall or
deactivate outlook, address book, iexplore, netmeeting,
messenger and instead enforce the use of netscape ?

Can I ask why the students need to use their own applications? (I presume
you meant documents?)

You cannot remove IE and OE from Windows XP. You can remove all the icons by
using Control Panel-Add/Remove programs-Add/Remove Windows Components. You
can also use that to properly remove Messenger.
I am sure that there are AV programs that can be set to automatically scan
removable media when it i inserted.

Other than that, your best bet is Linux!
