Hi,

I need some help with a XP image. After running sysprep and having restart
my machine, i have 3 icons shortcut (internet explorer, outlook express and
window media player) appearing on the desktop. Is there any ways to get rid
of these icon during sysprep so that it does not appear after restarting my
machine.

Thanks
kiddo

Hi kiddo,

you can change the setting of the "User Interface Core" component.
Uncheck "Show Desktop icons" on the settings screen.

Hi Markus,

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm using sysprep on a windows XP image not
building a XPe image from TD. After sysprep, the 3 icons (Internet Explorer,
Outlook and Media player) automatically appears and i need to get rid of
them. Do you have anys other ideas on how to do it?

Thanks
kiddo

Hi kiddo,

I haven't read your question accurate enought :(
I'm sorry, I have no experience with sysprep.

Sysprep roles back the SIDs. It has nothing to do with the short cuts. Th
idea is that you install the OS and make any changes to the image ..... add
software, delete shortcuts, install drivers, etc. ... and then you run
Sysprep.
