Get reminders from subscribed calendars?

B

Bob Altman

Hi all,

In Outlook 2007, I've figured out how to subscribe to a calendar that is
published on the web, which is totally cool. Now I can see my calendar at
home superimposed with calendar data from my work computer (behind a
corporate firewall) plus several different Google calendars. But I haven't
yet figured out a way to get any of the "subscribed" calendars to give me a
pop-up reminder before an event comes due. Is there any way to do this?
For example, is there something I can do on my work PC (also running Outlook
2007) when I publish the calendar that allows the home PC to receive
reminders?

TIA - Bob

No, reminders only fire from your default calendar.

No. The subscribed calendars won't trigger reminders. You can copy items to
your personal calendar if you need reminders.

I'm not sure if reminder manager (slovaktech.com) will work for these since
the calendars are read only.

Thanks Milly and Diane, that's the answer I was afraid I'd get...

Reminder Manager would only work if the shared calendars are opened as
delegate mailboxes as part of the Outlook profile. Otherwise no. Shared
calendars don't provide us enough information for Reminder Manager to work
with them.
