Get back a sent email

Is it possible to get an email back before the recipient reads it? I'm using
Vista with Windows Mail.

The only exception is in a corporate setting when you and the
recipient use the same Microsoft Exchange server, and the
recipient has not yet opened that email.
 
Yes this is quite true, but the OP didn't mention anything about a corporate
setting which led me to assume that the OP belonged to the majority of
Windows Mail users.

Personally, in a corporate setting I would be using Microsoft Outlook not
Windows Mail. The only thing I find windows mail useful for is newsgroups.
