get a messenger service error

Hi,

I installed win2000 sp4 (stand-alone server) and now i see at regular way a
little window "messenger service" with this:
"Message from System to error:
stop: c000218 (registry file failure)
the registry cannot load the hive \systemroot\system32\config\software or
log or alternate .."

Is this serious and how can i get rid of that?
