I have a XP box that has a COA sticker on it, but, the computer failed the GA
check. The COA is: MPTYD-BDV3Y-VMBC9-F8WH2-G7PK8. The company that sold us
the PC has closed its doors. How do I fix this?

I had the same problem. I had a black screen and was continuously receiving pop ups asking em to fix this problem.Everyone told me I had to purchase the program again, But after searching myself , I went to start, search, ALL FILES and FOLDERS search in my computer for "WGA". I deleted them all and then also deleted them from the recycle bin.
This fixed my problem. I hope it works for you.
