Generic destination for Word files

Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of migrating some WordPerfect documents to Microsoft
Word. In WordPerfect, a user can define a specific output type (for example
letterhead) and and print it to that output type. That output type would be
pointing to a defined printer, tray etc. Any sharer of that document can use
it as long as he/she has an output type defind with the same name.

For example, if an output type is defined to print the first page on the
letterhead from a specific tray and the rest from another tray, any user can
print the document to that output type and it would print properly -- I hope
I'm making any sense.

Can Word do something similar? Also, can a Word document define whether to
print the document in duplex mode? or is it the property of a printer?

If this doesn't belong in this group please let me know. I would really
appreciate any help

Thanks
Junaid

Word reformats the document according to the dictats of the current printer
driver and so this will have a major influence over what you do. You can set
up the page settings of a document to print pages from different bins (File
Page Setuo > Paper) or you can insert print fields in the document to send
commands directly to those printers that understand them but different
printers respond to different commands.
