General tab missing from Internet options

The General tab has vanished from my Internet options, I
cannot clear my history, delete cookies, or delete
temporary internet files, I also can't change my home
page now. If anyone knows how i can get it back it would
be greatly appreciated

Note: restoring the missing tab(s) without scanning for parasites
will not remove the culprit that now exists on your system.
