'any'...
Have you tried a newer model at a store?

Not all models play all types of DVDs. SOme play only DVD+Rs, some only
DVD-Rs, some play both but not the RWs - some play one or the other of RWs,
etc...

Hi Sleepy, I am new to the Windows Movie Maker, but I have this book which
says that this program does not support rendering movies to DVD, yeah, it
sounds totally odd to me too, but the book is written by Windows Experts, in
fact is published by Microsoft Press. It is a full chapter in Windows XP
Inside Out by Ed Bott, Carl Siechert, and Craig Stinson. It says we need to
use a third party software program to render to DVD. It will create movies to
play on the computer, to post to the web and to put back inside the Video
Recorder it was taken off of once rendering is fiinished. It will copy items
like photo slides w/music to CDs, but not a movie to DVD. Perhaps this is
what has gone wrong? Just a thought...... Have a great day and a Happy
Holliday,

really do know! ;-)
