General query and reporting facility

Has anyone written a general query and reporting mechanism in Access?
By this I mean a system where the user chooses the columns of interest,
specifies selection criteria and control breaks and then the Access program
itself writes and runs the report dynamically.
Any pointers on doing this would be appreciated.
 
Today it seems several questions have been mistakenly asked more than once
either in the same NG or in different NG. This is frowned on.

Search for your same question in another NG.
