General Partition Query

I have upgraded Windows to XP (previously Win ME) a while ago and noticed in
disk management that there is an Healty (unknown partition) with a capacity
of 1.80GB and is 100% free. When i attempt to delete it prompts that it was
not created by Windows and that some data could be recognised by other
operating systems. Is it safe to delete as i do not require to reinstall Win
ME or have any files from Win ME.

Thanks alot

It is probably put there by the computer manufacturer to contain a restore
image for restoring your computer to its factory setup (WinME). You can
safely leave it alone. Deleting a partition on the system drive can cause
your system to corrupt.
