General newsgroup posting question

J

JM

There is one particular ng that I cannot post to. I use OE6 as my
newsreader, and everything seems to work fine. I don't have the problem
with other ng's, but I cannot get a post to one in particular. I seem to be
downloading new posts by other people, however.

Any idea what's going on?

Thank you,

jm

What group? Is it set to read only or requires registering?

How long has it been since you tried posting, and the time you HAVE NOT seen
your message appear?

It may be a read only newsgroup on your server. (RoadRunner?)

Which NNTP (newsgroups) server?
Which group?
Are you posting just a message?
Are you including attachments?
Are the attachments binary?
Are you posting using plain-text (recommended) or HTML?
How long did you wait after posting to check to see your post show up?

Wow, JM, you are chock full o' input tonight. How can any of us help
you when we don't even know the problematic ng's ID?

Can you help me? I locked myself out of my car. Don't know what
brand of car it is, nor its model name, nor its year of manufacture. Is
this enough to get you started?
