General Definition Queations, Please

New at this.

Will be doing a lot of reading and studying of course, but was wondering if
anyone might give me a short explanation and definition of the following for
now, please:

a. how is a spreadsheet different from a database ?

b. what is a "relational database" ? what other types are there ?

c. what are "recursive" function(s) ?
