Gauge graphic as a Clock.

Leo Rod

Good morning All,

I have an exploded doughnut graphic that I want to intersect with a
value -from another calculation- overlapping it to analogically identify one
of the values on the doughnut; sort of a "clock" graphic from one static and
one dinamic serie.

Does anybody knows a way to do this?

All references to how to manipulate graphics like this will be highly
appreciatted.

Sincerely,

Leo.

See if this mock-up example helps:

With these values in A1:C13
Label DonutVal Line
1 1 #N/A<--- C2: =NA()
2 1 3
3 1 5
4 1 (blank)
5 1 (blank)
6 1 (blank)
7 1 (blank)
8 1 (blank)
9 1 (blank)
10 1 (blank)
11 1 (blank)
12 1 (blank)

Select B2:C13
<insert><chart>
Check: Doughnut________________________Click [next]
Check: Data in Rows_____________________Click the Series tab
• Set Series 1 Category Labels to: A2:A13____Click [next]
• Set Series 2 Values to: C2:C4_____________Click [next]
• Legend tab____________________________UNcheck: Show legend
• Data Labels tab___Check: Category Name___Click [next]
Click [Finish]

Now you've got 2 conctentric doughnut charts
• Right-Click the outer circle........Select: Chart Type
• Check: Line Chart

The end result will be an obnoxiously colored clock with one clock hand from
the center to the number 2.

Is that something you can work with?
