Games won't display properly

When I try to play online games, I get warning messages saying--Xtra(Vector Shape) does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Make sure Xtras are in the Xtras folder. I also get this message--Xtra(Flash Movie) does not exist or failed to initialize properly, make sure it is in the Xtras folder.

I never use to get these messages. I had to reinstall from my recovery discs due to a virus that I had gotten. Where did it go and how can I fix this?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Denise,

You're most likely missing the standard Extra's that install with the Shockwave
player. For more information and to download the player, visit this URL:

Thanks for the replys. Maybe I should delete the shockwave I have and download the program again. I asked my husband about the virus and he didn't know so I am not sure it was a virus because he started a product recovery before I could look at it. I was also thinking that when he uninstalls the games he answers yes to all uninstall questions. I was wondering if he deleted a shared file with the uninstall if he could have also deleted important shared files? I shouldn't assume anything but I figure the question about shared files would not come up when uninstalling if they were not important!

Yes, it's possible. Hopefully reinstalling Shockwave and those games
however will correct the situation. Use that link I gave you earlier. :)

If you have a program such as Norton Antivirus or
PCcillin and it is updated you can get rid of it!
