Games for Windows LIVE included with Windows Vista Games

Games for Windows LIVE should be available to Windows Vista users and
achievements should be available for chess and all the other games that
shipped with Vista. Gadgets could be added to the sidebar for this and there
are a lot of little things both functionally and visually with this idea.
Microsoft, as I have seen over the last 8 years, is very creative. I'm sure
you'll come up with something.

Hey, why not start an online petition while you're at it?

I HATE achievements. For my reason why, please see this lovely VGCats
illustration.

Pay close attention to Panel #2-3...

Yes, Gamerscores are like dick hats. Impressive to look at, but totally
useless.

If you need validation for your ability to play chess, try playing a
grand master sometime and start getting ranked. Yes, grand master's like
to play just about anyone, and most of them are really cool, plus you'll
get a score that you can actually put in a resume and impress a decent
number of people. I doubt your XBox Live Gamerscore carries nearly as
much weight.

FYI if the game doesn't support achievements out of the gate, they'll
have to be coded in, and I doubt there's a dedicated team available at
Microsoft to patch Chess Titans.
