Get an EX-Box Live PC game like Halo 2 or ShadowRun and you can add all your
xbox live buddies as well as MSN Live. Only problem is it only works with
Games for Windows "Live" games.

I recommend Steam (http://www.steampowered.com) not only does it work with
all the steam games, but you can add hotlinks to other games on your system,
when you're playing it'll say you are playing that game and it's got in-game
friends lists, etc.

XFire isn't too bad either. (http://www.xfire.com)

Yeah I'd also recommend Steam.
The games you can buy from them are awesome (namely Half Life series).

If you need some friends I'm listed as Android8675 (I think) on Steam. Add
me, we can play some TF2.

I recommend X-fire..Best gamming chat system I've found. Add friends, see
what your friends are playing and join the server their on. Monitors game
play hours per game.
