You haven't provided enough information to get focused troubleshooting.

In the meantime, things to try (only make one change at a time, testing
after each change):
1. Were you ever able to play these games successfully? If so, what
changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't?
2. Update your video card drivers. Never get drivers from Windows
Update. Get them from:
a. The device mftr.'s website; OR
b. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR
c. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM
computer (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).
Read the installation instructions on the website where you get the
drivers.
3. Check your computer for overheating. Open the computer and run it
open after cleaning out all dust bunnies. Observe all fans (overheating
will cause system freezing and/or crashing). This includes the fan on
your video card if you have one. For a desktop, without touching
anything hold your hand close to the inside of the case and feel how
hot things are getting.
4. Make sure you don't have too many processes/programs running in the
