After creating a gallery and you go to page and click on a thumbnail the full
image appears on another page. How do you make the full image appear with
your website header, background and navigation etc. ???
Or at least where it opens a new window up and user can close that and
return to gallery.
At present it opens in same window as gallery and you have to use the back
button.
I am a rookie so thank you for all your help.

You can't since that's not a real page, it's just the browser viewing the
image file.

You could if you create the landing page yourself, that is; create a page
with your logo & navs, put the full size image on it, then link to that from
your thumbnail on the originating thumbnail(s) page(s).

You're using the FP gallery, which is limited in many ways; there are
better solutions available.

To get the larger image to show with your footers etc in a new window,
you have to actually make a page for each photo, and insert the picture
in each individual page but I don't think that's possible with the FP
gallery. Also if you have hundreds of photos you want in this gallery,
doing this one by one is in-efficient use of your time. At the moment,
all its doing is linking to the larger photo directly, rather than a web
page with that image inserted in it.

Please note, the FP gallery can only be viewed in IE (for Windows only)
with any reliability, so it's not a good cross-browser solution.

I recommend a good alternative to the FP photo gallery, and it is easy
to use and understand. Try J-Album; this makes the HTML pages for you
(and gives you a choice of "skins" and "themes" or, you can have the
"plain" theme which can then be added to your web page's design. This
application also processes your photos for optimal file sizes etc -
everything is automatic: the application is free from this site,
http://jalbum.net.

It is easy to understand and use (really just a matter of importing a
folder of images, and clicking a button "Create Gallery"). There's
plenty of help at the forum on the JAlbum site.

The JAlbum application is frequently recommended by members of this
group (in answering questions about the FP Photo Gallery) and I hope it
assists you with your problem.

Good luck,

Andrew
