Subject: Problem: Is it the printer, Win XP or PDF???

One bit of information I forgot to put in my message:

At the top right corner of first page was "COURSE OUTLINE".

At top right right of first funny page was "DPVSTF PVUMJOF".

In other words :- C becomes D,

O = P

U = V

R = S

S = T

E = F

O = P

U = V

T = U

L = M

I = J

N = O

E = F

etc.

Now why on earth would ten pages of printing transpose itself in this way?

Nev.

TIA.

Please keep to the original thread. Two questions: What version
of Adobe Reader/Acrobat are you running? And, what version of
Adobe Acrobat created or generated the *.pdf files?

Two questions:
What version of Adobe Reader/Acrobat are you running?

It seems version 7 was running on my computer.
I went to do the upgrades for 7.05 and &. 7.07 but
was told parts of Adobe were missing on my computer,
but when I came back later it said it was ready to do the
updates and I did them. So later on I shall test if I can
download the PDF files from uni and will let you know
my results.

I hardly ever use Acrobat. The only reason there is a
copy on my compuer is that I bought and installed a copy
Adode Premier and that installed a copy of acrobat to do
documentation.

And, what version of Adobe Acrobat created or generated the *.pdf files?

I'll check that at uni some time later.

Thanks,

Ne.

Uni tells me they are using versions 5 and 6.

There have been reports of compatibility issues between
Acrobat 7.X and earlier versions. What happens with Adobe
Reader 5.X or 6.X?

Since updating Adobe ver 7 with the latest updates I have tried
to print out files (created with uni's ver 5 & 6), but they just don't
print out at all.

I will probably go up to uni and see if I can get a copy of Adobe
ver 6.
