functions quit working

=IF(D11="","",D10)
this function used to work fine then all of sudden it just stopped working.
any one know what can cause this and what to do about it?
 
What does "stop working" mean?

Perhaps calculation is set to manual. Check your Excel options (the specific
instructions depend on the version you are using).
