Everytime I open the html file that I am building make changes and try to save frontpage returns an error and want me to send and error report, it shuts down restarts and then none of my changes are there.
 
Run the detect and repair.
FrontPage Toolbar > Help > Detect and Repair.

Are you working with the Web Open? - not Open file/page.
