Hi,

I am using Excel '97. I have a spreadsheet that has information sorted by
date. I would like to have the date cell change to red text if the date is
past the current date (no other info on that line has to change). Is there a
way to do this? Thanks for your help!

Have you tried using Conditional Formatting before?

Go to Format --> Conditional Formatting --> and follow the prompts. You
have the option to change the format of text and cells using font, color,
style, borders, and shadding. You can either use the cell you want to format
or another cell (formula). This should take care of what you want to do...

It works great - thank you so much for telling me about conditional
formatting!
