Function language

Dear all,

I have tremendous troubles with a Dutch version of Office2007 excel. All
functions are in Dutch and I turn nuts on it. So lets say the witch i know
as Value() now becomes WAARDE(). Now I thought there was nothing to do about
this, but I do start wonder if i can to change a setting some where to turn
the Dutch language shell off since I found that once I use the below
function it returns the function in English.

<Q>
Function GetFormula(Cell as Range) as String
GetFormula = Cell.Formula
End Function
<UQ>

Can someone let me know if and how I could turn off the Dutch language shell
laying over the functions so that I will have the common English and most
likely native function names.

Further I kill myself finding a way to get my own functions working in 2007.
I saven them in Modules in 'Personal.XLMS' start-up file/directory, turned
off all securities and still Excel 2007 does not reconize them as i was used
to with Excel 2003.......... can anyone reveal the trick.

All help will be highly appriciated.

Ludovic

Ron,

I am looking at the language package, even I do think it is strange that the
function as shown below shows/reports a build in formula in a different
language as it is typed. I would think this is caused by a shell which came
with the Dutch version i have and you would expect that you could turn off
this shell instead of installing a language pack.

I have not protected my personal file, should I do this? Currently I have no
access to my office2007 which is in the office so at this point from hom i
am unable to try this.

Thx,
Ludovic

De enige manier is om het taal pakket er op te zetten als je Engelse funkties wil gebruiken

Je kan dit wel gebruiken

Cell.FormulaLocal
Dit geeft je de Nederlandse function
