hi is it possible to save text then to re-insert it using a function key
example...if i wanted to enter a password...is it possible to save it to a
function key..or similar...thanks

There's a useful little shareware utility - Shortkeys, from
http://www.shortkeys.com, which will allow on the fly text replacement
and expansion, maybe paragraphs long. It operates directly behind the
keyboard - so in any application.

There is a free 'Lite' version that will handle up to 30 templates. You
can't use F keys as the template (but would not be very safe when they
also have functions to perform) - but having say xp1 for password1 is
pretty good
