Visual CapsLock Indicator

When a user enters his logon password under Windows
XP and if the CapsLock key is active at that time then
a text bubble pops up, warning him about the CapsLock
key.

Is anyone aware of a similar ***visual*** feature that is
available at all times, not just at logon time? I'm aware of
the audible "Toggle Keys" function under the Accessibility
options but this is not what the user requires. His cordless
keyboard has no CapsLock indicator light.

Some keyboard software can show caps / num / sroll lock state in the system
tray.

I have a Microsoft Cordless keyboard and mouse and had the same problem
for the first couple of years.

When expressed my frustation to my son-in-law one day, he pointed out
that there is a CapsLock light on the receiver (the gadget that plugs
into the computer).

Since I had put the receiver under my desk and could not see it while
typing, I was unaware of the light being a CapsLock indicator.

I thought it was merely part of the LEDs that flash when the unit is
scanning for the KB and mouse.

It might be helpful to check the receiver on your system, the manual for
the cordless KB, and post here a fuller description of the cordless KB
if all else fails.

There is no doubt someone here who can tell you where the CapsLock light
is--or that there is none on your system.
