Using Office 2000. At start up get message that says
"c:\ProgramFile\MicrosoftOffice\Office\Library\Analysis\fu
ncres.xla could not be found"

I can close off this message and Excel continues to load
and work fine. I am seeking a solution to eliminating
this bothersome reminder that pops each day. Any
suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Quick-fix. Go to Tools>Add-ins and uncheck the Analysis Toolpak add-in. It
needs Funcres.xla to run.

Not too desirable if you are attempting to use functions from ATP.

FUNCRES.XLA should have been installed with original setup. If you cannot
find FUNCRES.XLA doing a search of your computer, I would suggest running
through an install again.

I have never used XL2000. Is there a repair facility as XL2002 has?

IMHO, Gord is right. The analysis toolpak is a valuable add-in with some
nice functions. I would expend some effort to save it instead of just
turning it off to shut off the error.
