Full Screen View -- 2003 but not 2007?

I really, really like the Full Screen View option in Word 2003. My workplace
is switching to Office 2007 and from the glimpse I've gotten it seems that
this feature no longer exists. Am I right? There's something in Word 2007
called Full Screen Reading View, but that's based on the old Reading View. Is
the old-style Full Screen option buried in there somewhere, or is it really
gone?

If you hold down the Alt key and then press u and then v, you will get Full
Screen View as in Word 2003. Only thing is that the toolbar with the button
to close that view is not displayed and the Alt+C short cut that used to
work in Word 2003 does not appear to work in 2007 so it is necessary to use
Alt+F4 to shut down Word and then restart it to get back to one of the other
views.

I agree with you. No (thankfully), you are not right. It is still available.

Just add Toggle Full Screen View button to the Quick Access Toolbar from the
command well (Commands Not in the Ribbon or All Commands) which allows you
to view the document without the Ribbon.

To add the Toggle Full Screen View button to the Quick Access Toolbar, click
the Office Button to display the Office menu, click Word Options to display
the Word Options dialog box, click Customize in the left pane, under Choose
commands from, select All Commands. Scroll down to Toggle Full Screen View,
click Add and click OK.

Then you can click the Toggle View Screen View button on the Quick Access
Toolbar to display full screen view

Press ESC to return to whatever view you were in so that you can access the
Ribbon

Only shortcut menus and the Mini Toolbar, which gives you access to a broad
range of formatting commands, are available in full screen view – just right
click. You can still display scroll bars.

Thanks for the replies. I don't have the new version installed yet, so I
can't try this out, but I assume you guys know what you're talking about.
