Ftpg 2003 error won't save image to web

I just get an error message "images_00/picture.jpg" does not refer to a page
or folder in this web. It may be a page or folder in a subweb or a badly
formed URL.

I have several image folders - but I can't even change to another - as they
don't appear in the box to select.

This always worked before, now it only works on my HD web - & I have to
manually upload any images.

The pages have already been published - I'm just adding images. Tis is a
very big website & very image intensive - so I don't want to mess with
republishing the whole thing if I don't have to.

Also are the image folders supposed to have a blue dot on the icon??

{{Thank you for any thoughts on this matter}}.

Oh dear - just found part of the problem - FTPG thinks any folder with the
underscore is a hidden file. Shoot.

Can I rename the file - and will it update all the links pics in the file?

Sigh

NOT A PROBLEM!!
in FrontPage hit tools/ site settings/ (advanced tab) check the "show hidden
files" box.

As long as it's renamed from *within* FP, and not with, for example,
Windows Explorer.

Well FP won't let me rename the folder inside the website - I don't have
"permission" - so I did it manually on the server, then I did a site wide
find & replace of the old file name inside the website.

What does it mean when the folder icon has a blue dot on it - I can't do
anything to those folders - I don't remember it being like that - and my
newly named file doesn't have that - just a plain tan folder.

We'll now I've got over 5,000 broken links, lol. I think I need a . . .
stiff drink, lol.

If you mean the blue globe, that means that folder is a web folder or a
subweb
