FTP through Xp

C

Chris

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a FTP on my XP pro machine. I
have installed IIS, and setup the FTP on my machine. I
have turned off all firewalls except the default Linksys
router. I have setup port forwarding on the router to
point to my IP address, from port 21. When I try to
access the FTP from the browser, it errors, and says that
the request timed out. Is their something else that I'm
missing? Thanks!

Is your ISP blocking FTP ports? Most have a strict "no servers" policy -
and enforce it.

I am having the same issue on my XP pro. I have used many FTP software
programs, including WS_FTP, CuteFTP, FTP Voyager, FTP Explorer... Please
help. AMy firewalls are disabled, so I know that's not the problem. Thanks!
