I try to update a site for a new client with Frontpage
2003. This works only in WS FTP.

In WS FTP I go up two folders and then down in the
folder "web". Using the up arrow twice and then I go into
the folder web and I can update the site.

In Frontpage 2003 I cannot go a folder up.
Even when I use the FTP folder option ../../web

Is there an option I can try in Frontpage 2003 with FTP
or is this a bug in the FTP protocol???

You need to set your FTP location to be the "web" folder
(if your host hasn't automatically mapped it that way)

I tried that and it did not work.
There is a folder in the web called web, but if you
upload to that folder it won't show.
You need to go from that "web"folder in WS FTP twoo times
up and one time down into "web"
Hope you can help me with this one.

Tried What from the KB article?

How you navigate in WS FTP and the ftp URL are not related
- all depends on what folder your host want you to log into for FTP

You can also try entering a http URL and letting FP find the FTP mapped web folder (root folder for web content)

generally anything in the /web folder on an ftp account will show through a
browser.
are you sure your index page is named right, i.e. .html instead of .htm?
