FTP download

So what is wrong with IE. It downloads and the download completes according
to the modem lights but there is no dialog, no indication that the download
is complete in IE and no indication as to where the file is. Can't find the
file to save it. Is IE broken? I'm running XP with SP2 and IE 6. I download
over and over and still can't find where the file is. I have to use Firefox
to obtain the file from FTP download.

Dear Nog,

You can prevent IE from closing the download window at Tools (menu) ->
Internet Options... -> Advanced (tab) -> Browsing (section), and check
the option "Notify when downloads complete". This option will prevent
the file download window of closing when it complete and allow you to
open the folder where the file was saved in.

I also recommend on using FireFox in general and not for this problem
specifically. It seams to be a bit faster, simple and the extensions
make it very powerful. It also has built-in download manager (though
very basic).
FireFox however cannot always display sites made with Microsoft tools.

This option IS checked. What now?
