Hi,
My frs log on my fsmo role holding dc (04) is giving me
events 13539, 13552 and 13555, in that order when you
restart the file replication service, and gives the
standard errors, stating that there is an invalid path,
need to do an unauthoritative system restore. I have
another dc (03), but it has been having issues.

on the 04 fsmo dc, when i run dcdiag i get under frssysvol
test, error: No record of File Replication System, SYSVOL
started. The AD may be prevented from starting.
but it passes.

on the 03 dc, i get "There are errors after the sysvol has
been shared. The sysvol can prevent the AD from starting."

I have a system state backup, but i'd rather not have to
go that far.

I've also read this one, but i have no space issues,
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=819268

MS turned down my support call, saying it wasn't critical,
so i'm hoping to not lose this domain before i have to
call them back!

is it possible that the jsiinc.com fix will fix it?
(deleting the db????)

anyone have any experience here? thanks!

Tip 3605 has a good chance of fixing the problem.

Ward here,

I built a test environment, deleted the db as described,
and it rebuilt itself in a minute. so i did it on the
production box, and same result... everything is happy.
