Frozen Sidebar

The sidebar feature of Windows Vista has been erratic since I bought my new
computer. I finally got it configured with the gadgets that I use, but this
week it has completely frozen. The calendar has not changed, the weather is
out of date, etc. When I click (right or left) it does not respond to the
mouse at all.

If I go to Windows Sidebar in the Start menu, up pops an entirely different
version rather than the one I customized. How do I correct my problem?

are you SURE that someone has not played a trick on you
and put a desktop WALLPAPER with an image of the wallpaper plus sidebar in
order to trick you? lol

to you it would seem as a sidebar there but of course it would not react..
this could have happened by mistake also...

justa a wild guess.. change your wallpaper and report back :-)

Since I am the only user of this computer, the wallpaper solution would not
fit. However, I decided to reboot since I hadn't tried that old standby, and
voila! that fixed it.

Thanks for trying to help.

Ah, yes... the oldest tech trick in the book; when in doubt, reboot!
