Frontpage Search tools with or without Google

Mark M Simonian

I would like to revise my Frontpage 2002 Web site www.aapca1.org to better
pick up information in my Asp pages. If I use the search tool with Frontpage
it sees all by html pages but misses my asp information. But if I use Google
to search my site it finds the asp information.

If that is the best I can expect with Frontpage search (There does not
appear to be a way to modify the Frontpage search engine) is there a was to
imbed Google search into my pages?

The FP search component is not going to be able to search any dynamic
generate data that is stored in a database. To do this you have to create
ASP search function to search your database.

Google uses a robot to index your web site, this is not the same thing as
searching your site.

Tom, Thanks for getting me headed in the right direction. Will this require
significant programming or will I be able to pick up some simple directions
if I look around the FrontPage help sites. I hadn't found anything before I
posted my question.
