frontpage SE problem

First off, I am using FrontPage 2000. I have been able to publish my web
with out any real problems. The only issue I am having is with the server
extensions. I have personal webspace available through my ISP, Cox cable,
and they support using FrontPage. On their website I am able to manage my
files and activate the server extensions, when I do so I get 3 folders, "vti
cnf", "cti pvt" and "vti txt". Also looking in these folders, they appear
to be empty except for the "cvt pvt" folder, it has 3 files labeled
"htpasswrd", "lwsaccess" and "services.cnf".
My specific issue is my hit counter doesn't work and my discussion group
doesn't work, I get an error:

FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web
server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish
this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

I have tried reactivating the server extensions as well as removing them and
then activating them. Anybody know what the problem could be?

After installing/activating the extensions, have you then re-publish your
complete site to your host via FP's http mode?

None of the FP run-time components will work if you upload them via FTP.

Yes, I re-published the complete site and I am not publishing via FTP. One
other little bump I came across could possible somehow be an issue.

When I originally published the web I gave it a location of
members.cox.net/myname, which is the address they gave me. It published
fine and gave me a link, http://members.net/myname, to visit my site but it
didn't work. The address that worked was
http://members.cox.net/myname/myname, although the SE didn't work. I have
since deleted it and republished it to members.cox.net and then it works
fine with out my name being in the address twice, but still the SE didn't
work. I don't know if it matters where the folders for the SE is located or
if the fact that I am using FP2000 and maybe the SE are for 2002. I'm not
sure but I imagine these might be things to consider.

I also get a window while publishing telling me that the SE folders aren't
on my local computer and it asks me if I want to delete them from the
server. As well as a window notifying me that the discussion forms won't
work because there are no SE. Thanks for the help.

You will need to deal with Cox, because this a issue with how they have
their accounts setup for FP users.
