My office is going from using a web designer to in-house
web maintenance. I use frontpage at home, and I like it,
however, the design firm says that frontpage creates
errors in coding and can compromise the company website.
If I order FrontPage for the office and start using it for
maintenance on the existing site, will things like drop
down menues be problematic?

FP can be used to build any type of web site, just as Dreamweaver and
Notepad, etc.

Your design firm is trying to intimidate you
into changing your mind about terminating
their services.

I would however, make sure that FrontPage is set to
"Preserve Existing HTML" before you do any work
on the web site.

Hi Sue,

It is possible that you may have some issues but nothing that can not be
worked around. Question, what was the site built in?

Along with that do the work on your local system, with an IIS web server, to
test before moving to production.

Hi Mike,

The office site was built using Macromedia HTML Editor and
LeapWare as the FTP tool.

What is an IIS web server?
